As the plant will grow 6m in height we untie it at regular intervals, lay it along the ground and train it up an appropriate cane at its growing tip. This is repeated 2 or 3 times throughout the growing season. I first do this in mid June before the flowers appear in order to give a full canes length in the flowering season
