Unfortunately the location of my Sweet Pea patch is in a frost pocket and is very shaded. This means that I'm very vulnerable to bud drop which is caused by an excessive change in day and night temperatures and moisture content. The buds become deformed and drop off even thought the plants appear healthy. It looks as though this present spell will mean I have no flowers for two weeks!
